Cleve Dunn, Jr. and Christopher Johnson envisioned the Red Stick Rivalry as a powerful event to combine their passions for boxing, community engagement, and philanthropy.

Their purpose for this event is to showcase the talent of both professional and celebrity boxers, providing a platform for them to display their skills and determination in the ring.

This event aims to foster a sense of unity and excitement within Baton Rouge, offering the community an opportunity to come together and celebrate local talent through high-quality entertainment.

A significant aspect of their vision is to use the Red Stick Rivalry as a vehicle for charitable giving. A percentage of the proceeds from the event will support St. Jude Hospital and aid nine-year-old Ja’Leah Jones, a local patient at St. Jude, demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the community and supporting those in need.

Christopher Johnson, in particular, offers free boxing lessons for kids at The BoomBox Gym, emphasizing the importance of providing positive outlets and opportunities for youth. Cleve Dunn, Jr. and Christopher Johnson's vision for the Red Stick Rivalry is to create an event that entertains, enriches the community, supports charitable causes, and fosters the growth of young athletes.
